Fausto is the culmination of my love for Italy in Brooklyn.

At its core, Fausto is a restaurant for and of the neighborhood. Designed by Brooklyn-based Home Studios, it is located at the intersection of Park Slope and Prospect Heights, neighboring many of Brooklyn’s most iconic destinations — Barclay’s Center, The Brooklyn Museum, Grand Army Plaza, the Brooklyn Public Library and the Botanical Gardens. Chef Erin Shambura, formerly of L’Artusi, Del Posto and Lupa, helms the kitchen, overseeing a robust house-made pasta program along with regional Italian dishes from the wood-fired oven. An Italian-leaning wine list, dubbed “one of the country’s most exciting” features selections from Emidio Pepe, Arianna Occhipinti and Elisabetta Foradori, among others, with a focus on small production, native grapes and organic and biodynamic agriculture. The beverage program is also composed of a deep and varied aperitivi and amari selection with particular to attention to vintage bottlings and artisan spirits.
